So, let’s settle this once and for all.

Which is the better option to go for: a sales letter or a VSL?

Okay here it goes…

There is no winner.

And the reason is because there are simply way too many variables involved in determining a winner.

Here’s what I mean by variables:

Some people like to read or don’t have the time to watch a full video.

Some markets need the sound, vision and excitement of a video – case in point, the men’s dating market.

Men are visual creatures and you definitely want to show them some beautiful ladies in your VSL.

Conversely, some markets just like to read more – the financial market is one example.

The list goes on.

So here’s the key point to take away here:

Keeping in mind the core fundamentals of sales copy and what gets copywriting to convert.

That will beat the whole which is better video or sales letter question any day of the week.

I’m referring to core fundamentals like creating empathy.

Grabbing attention and not boring them.

Get your message spot on.

Creating a compelling story and demonstrating value.

Demonstrating how you are different from all the other offers out there in the market.

Coming up with a reason that gets them to act now, not later or tomorrow.
